Do you know that most American students shy away from Asia as a primary destination for studying abroad?
According to the Open Doors 2016 report by the Institute of International Education (IIE),10% of U.S. undergraduate students chose to study abroad in 2014-15. Of those American students who studied abroad, only 11% decided to study in Asia, while the majority (55%) chose Europe as their destination. The data of the Open Doors revealed an interesting fact: “32% of the U.S. study abroad students were hosted by the United Kingdom, Italy, and Spain.
