CBS’s report is based on a survey by Glassdoor which “is a website where employees and former employees anonymously review companies and their management.” (Wikipedia)
According to the Glassdoor’s study, women earn about 20% less than men. Here are the findings:
- 6 out of 10 bachelor’s degree are awarded to females.
- High-paying jobs in fields like engineering tend to be dominated by men.
- Some of the biggest pay gaps witnessed by recent grads with the same college majors are among traditionally male fields
- Men are earning $56,957 annually five years after they get their college degree, compared with $50,426 for women.
