There are many factors that one has to consider when he or she selects a school to attend. Crime rates inside and outside of you future school should be one of the most important factors that you take into consideration. Many International students are quite ignorant about their safety threats in the U.S. Many lives could have been saved if only they had paid more attention to their surroundings or if only they had talked with someone about their mental or emotional issues.
The following data is from the Office of Postsecondary Education (OPE) of the U.S. Department of Education. The list is based on the data from 2013 academic year. OPE’s data are from colleges and universities directly and the data is not the same as FBI’s. (FBI’s data is from police stations.)
