The U.S. State Department just warned Americans traveling to the following countries:

  • Mali: Due to ongoing terrorist attacks and criminal violence.
  • Jordan: Due to threats from terrorist groups throughout the country.  “On December 18, 10 people, including a Canadian tourist and seven Jordanian security and police officers, were killed at or near a tourist site in Karak, 130 km south of Amman.”  (Excerpted from travel.state.gov)
  • Egypt: Due to terrorist groups.
  • The Democratic Republic of the Congo: “There is ongoing instability and sporadic violence in many parts of the DRC.”
