Thousands of test takers were turned away after ACT confirmed “credible evidence” of a leak in Korea and Hong Kong.
The ACT test was called off at 56 test locations in South Korea and Hong Kong. About 5,500 test takers were affected by this decision.
“We are extremely concerned about any activities that could impact the fairness and integrity of the test. When individuals attempt to profit by stealing test materials and selling them, it can hurt thousands of students who did nothing wrong, as it has in this case,” said ACT spokesman Edward Colby.
SAT and ACT test leaked once in a while and had caused cancellation of tests just hours before students were to take the tests.
