Have you ever wondered why there are so many kinds of rankings for U.S. colleges or worldwide universities? If you are among those who are not good with numbers, these various rankings must have driven you crazy! Why should you search through all the long lists of rankings from numerous (for-profit) media to realize which schools are really at the top?
To help our business-school-bound viewers, we have gathered four media’s rankings. They include:
- Business Insider: World’s 50 Best Business Schools 2015
- U.S. News & World Report: Best Grad Schools (Business) 2017
- Bloomberg: Best Business Schools 2016
- Forbes: The Best Business Schools 2015
After using the four rankings, we created a new overall ranking for the Best Business Schools in the United States. (Please note 36 schools out of Business Insider’s World’s 50 Best Business Schools are from the U.S.)

No matter what, I like college rankings so I can have a bit of direction when I search for schools in the United States. They may not be perfect but they give international students some guidances.
